Members ofIFSMN,NMC & RPM Lead Candle March in Tribute to Pahalgam Attack Victims

In a powerful display of solidarity and national mourning, the Indian Federation of Small and Medium Newspapers, National Media Confederation and Rashtriya Patrakaar Mahasangh jointly organized a solemn candle march on Tuesday evening commemorating the innocent lives lost in the recent Pahalgam terror attacks.

The march began at Hauz Khas and proceeded to the Green Park area drawing participation from journalists, social workers, students and concerned citizens. The air was thick with emotion as attendees chanted slogans condemning terrorism and expressing their grief and outrage over the horrific violence.Leading the march were Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of IFSMN, Virendra Kumar Saini, National Treasurer, Mehetab khan chand,National Convenor ,Sushil Kumar Sharma, Organising Secretary,Sibani Jalota & Mr. Dhiraj Kumar ,Joint secretary general and Tahir Ahmed and Priyabrat Nayak, Programme Coordinators, Navneet Rawat, National Media coordinator along with several other members of the media community.The candlelight procession served as a poignant reminder of the continued threat of terrorism and the urgent need for unified national action. Citizens lining the streets raised strong slogans not only against terrorism but also against the foreign entities believed to be responsible for fostering such violence.Many in the crowd openly voiced their anger towards Pakistan, widely alleged to be the architect of the Pahalgam attack. “We cannot remain silent anymore. The world needs to see that India stands united against terror in all forms,” said a participant.A detailed memorandum was submitted to the Hon’ble President and Prime Minister of India urging the government to take decisive and stern action against the perpetrators of the attack, their handlers and the nations that sponsor terrorism. The memorandum highlighted the collective pain of the people and called for justice for the victims and their families.The event concluded with a moment of silence and the lighting of candles, symbolizing hope, resilience and the unwavering spirit of the Indian people in the face of terror.
